A small collection of papers of Dr. Edmund L. Saunders, surgeon on the U.S.S. Enterprise and U.S.S. Ranger, 1901-13. The Enterprise and the Ranger were training ships for the Mass. Nautical Training School (later the Mass. Maritime Academy) for the training of merchant seamen. The collection contains clippings on the training voyages of both ships, an ink sketch of Capt. Ivison of the Enterprise, a bill of health for the Enterprise at the Port of Funchal, 29 Aug. 1902, and itinerary cards from 1903-11.
